Event Details

Shantytown 2012 is FINALLY HERE!
Shantytown is an annual event sponsored by Habitat for Humanity at Augustana College to promote poverty by groups of students spending the night living in cardboard shantys on the quad. We will provide cardboard and duct tape, all you need to do is show up with a positive attitude and be ready to make a shanty that you can spend 24 hours in.

Last year, we were able to make the event larger than ever before, and this year we plan on making it even better. There will be games, competitons, and performances all day. We will have food for sale and free s'mores at night. Get ready to have a great time!

Groups are generally 4 to 8 people and student groups and independent groups are more than welcome to sign-up. Only one person needs to register for the group, and you may also register with cash or check, by sending your money through campus mail to Jessica Allen.

If you have any questions, please contact us at: Augiehabitat@augustana.edu
